I am getting a "low virtual memory" error message in Windows 2000. What else can I do to fix this?

Q. I have Windows 2000 Professional. I get that error message. "Help" function suggested increasing the "virtual memory page filing" setting, so I set it to the maximum. Still getting the message.

Any other ideas?

How do you make a bootable windows 2000 dvd?
Q. I have a folder with all of the versions of windows 2000, already setup to make a multiboot windows 2000 dvd. i've tried burning it to a dvd before, but i got the error message saying that it couldn't find the cd rom file system or something along those lines. i got the same error when i tried burning windows vista to a dvd and make it bootable. does anyone know how to do this?

A. its complicated for some reason. i was able to make a multiboot cd once and ever since it never worked but i gave up after wasting two cds also. anyways what program are you using? just make sure they are in the format .iso then load boot image and burn. if its saying not a cd image file what format is it in when it says that. what format did you start with better yet? more specifics and i could help better. but overall it needs to be xxx.iso in order to be bootable. you may want to look into just mounting to a virtual drive, much easier.

How do i install the new Windows Live Messenger onto my Windows 2000 laptop?
Q. My laptop runs windows 2000 and every time i try installing Windows Live Messenger an error message pops up saying that the installation software is not a valid win 32 file

A. The latest version of Live Messenger is not supported on 2000. You must have XP SP2 or newer.

If you can't find an older version of Messenger that works on 2000, you may be able to find a third party messenger client, such as Pidgin or Trillian that will work. Note that third party clients do not always support all of the features that the official clients do. They also will require updates if the protocol changes.

How to remove vista and install windows 2000 server?
Q. I have HCL machine with VISTA pre-installed. I want to install windows 2000 server. How to remove vista and install windows 2000 server?

A. you can downgrade ur OS. Just run the Windows 2000 cd and then install it. but theres a possibility that there will be some error on ur computer. So just to be safe it is better to format ur PC then install ur Windows 2000 server.
